Constantia Display specimen from Tiro Typeworks

A display-optical companion to the Constantia typeface, designed by John Hudson with assistant work from Paul Hanslow, covering Latin, Cyrillic and Greek.

About

Offered in two styles, Regular and Italic, this display-weight serif builds on the classical proportions of the original Constantia commissioned by Microsoft. John Hudson's design refines stroke contrast and spacing for larger sizes, where optical corrections at text scale would otherwise feel heavy-handed. The broad character set of 1,376 glyphs supports extended Latin, Cyrillic and Greek scripts.

Classification

Constantia Display is a display-oriented serif with classical proportions and refined stroke contrast, consistent with the transitional serif tradition established by the original Constantia commissioned by Microsoft.
