Connectica specimen from Tour de Force

A joined monolinear script in two weights with OpenType initial forms for capital letters that lack a left-side joining stroke.

About

Designed by Dušan Jelesijević and released in June 2019, Connectica is a monoline connected script built around continuous joining strokes between characters. Capital letters such as E, F, U, V, W and Y use a swash initial form via OpenType to handle the absence of a left-side entry stroke cleanly. The family covers 102 languages across Extended Latin and includes standard ligatures alongside the initial forms feature.

Classification

A monolinear joined script, meaning all letterforms connect in a continuous flow. The foundry classifies it as Script, and its monoline construction distinguishes it from calligraphic or brush scripts.
