Roubaix Industrielle specimen from Tunera

A fully modular, all-caps typeface built from brick-shaped units, commissioned by the Roubaix Tourism Office as a tribute to the city's industrial and textile heritage.

About

Designed by Ariel Martín Pérez for the Roubaix Tourism Office and atelier Bien Vu, the typeface draws its letterform logic from the brick construction prevalent in the northern French city. Five optical sizes shift the internal texture of each glyph, with smaller sizes gaining connective seam-like details that reference the textile industry alongside the architecture. The family includes a Regular version suitable for screen and print, plus several variants with differing letter heights for print use, all available as a variable font spanning the optical size range.

Classification

A fully modular, all-caps display typeface built from brick-shaped units, with optical size variants that alter internal texture. Its constructivist, geometric character places it firmly in display territory.
