Aktuell Display takes the contrast and structure of Thomas Thiemich's Aktuell text design and pushes it into display territory through pronounced broad-nib modulation. The family runs across five weights from Blond to Bold, each with a matching italic, giving ten styles in total. OpenType features include small capitals, oldstyle figures, lining figures, discretionary ligatures and stylistic alternates.
Classification
A display-optimised serif with broad-nib contrast, placing it firmly in the high-contrast display serif category. It extends the Aktuell text family into larger-scale typographic applications.
