Pierre Pané-Farré's first published typeface, Orly Stencil was originally released in 2012 as part of the OurType Stencil Series, timed to coincide with the exhibition 'Between Writing & Type: the Stencil Letter' in Antwerp. Its letterforms are built from a spare vocabulary of shapes, deliberately shedding complex curves and fine details in the way that hand-cut stencils demand. The result is a tight, energetic sans structure that carries the physical logic of its making into every glyph.
