About
Developed by TYPE01 in collaboration with Valerio Monopoli, Korium is a variable font spanning six weight steps from 1KG to 6KG. Its condensed silhouette and angular construction give it a forceful presence suited to display and identity work. The character set runs to over 400 glyphs and includes wayfinding arrows, atom, biohazard and radioactivity symbols, chemical signs and further Unicode easter eggs inspired by the nuclear material corium.
Classification
Korium blends humanist letterform principles with tightly condensed, angular forms, placing it within the humanist sans category despite its assertive, display-oriented character.
