BD EmeraldMineColor specimen from Type Different

A colour font recreation of the bitmap lettering from the 1987 Amiga game Emerald Mine, made available as a free download.

About

Based on the typeface used in Emerald Mine, the Kingsoft boulder-dash game released for the Amiga in 1987, this revival was packaged as a colour font in 2020. Coverage is limited to basic Latin characters, punctuation and a handful of currency symbols, reflecting the minimal glyph set of the original game font. Best suited to retro gaming projects, fan work or anything that wants an authentic slice of late-1980s microcomputer aesthetics.

Classification

A colour font revival of bitmap lettering from an Amiga game, placing it firmly in the display/pixel category with no serif or sans-serif structural logic.
