Drawn during a prolonged stay in Japan, BD Tatami takes its cues from traditional woodcraft joinery, rendering Latin letters as interlocking rectangular modules with subtly angled edges. The family consists of a single Regular weight covering very basic Latin, with readability deliberately secondary to its decorative, experimental character. Best suited to short-form display settings where its structural rhythm can be appreciated at large sizes.
