BD Wakarimasen
Type Different · 2011

A Japanese-only typeface combining two contrasting kana styles, Hiragana and Katakana, with no Latin character support whatsoever.
About
Originally released in 2011 as two separate fonts (BD Hiragana Kuro and BD Wakarimasu), the family was consolidated under the BD Wakarimasen name. The two kana styles are designed to create visual contrast when mixed in Japanese text, giving designers a built-in typographic tension between Hiragana and Katakana passages. Basic punctuation and CJK symbols are included alongside a stylistic set for alternate punctuation forms.
Classification
A display typeface covering only Japanese Hiragana and Katakana scripts, combining two contrasting styles (formerly BD Hiragana Kuro and BD Wakarimasu) for use in Japanese-language typesetting. No Latin character support is included.
