About
Designed by Krista Likar and Alja Herlah, Spektra is built around a shared counter space that governs weight distribution across all five scripts, ensuring visual coherence without flattening the distinctive characteristics of each writing system. It operates as a variable font with weight and slant axes, running from very thin to an extreme black defined by the thickness of Arabic horizontals. Each weight comes in italic and backslant styles, making it a highly expressive choice for multilingual editorial and identity work. The family has received a GRANSHAN special mention, the Modern Cyrillic 2021 award and recognition at the Brumen biennial.
Classification
