Karmina
TypeTogether · José Scaglione & Veronika Burian · 2007

A calligraphically influenced newspaper serif with generous inktraps and compressed proportions built to perform on challenging print substrates.
About
Karmina was engineered from the outset for low-quality papers, high-speed presses and inconsistent ink coverage. Inktraps at acute connections, a large x-height and compressed letterforms combine to maximise readability per column inch. Four styles pair with the Karmina Sans companion. Won Merit at the 2007 European Design Awards.
