Originally drawn in 2017 to meet TypeType's own production needs, TT Commons Pro has expanded steadily into a family of five subfamilies — standard, compact, condensed, expanded and mono — with 102 static styles and two variable fonts. Extensive OpenType features include small caps, old-style figures, stylistic alternates for single-storey 'a', alternative 'l' and 'y', plus localisations for Bashkir, Chuvash, Serbian and other scripts. It has seen use in brand identities ranging from Domino's Pizza and Uniqlo to real estate and solar energy companies.
Classification
Explicitly described as a geometric sans serif by the foundry. The forms are clean and circular with optional stylistic alternates including single-storey 'a' and bowl-shaped 'y', consistent with geometric sans conventions.
