TT Dott specimen from TypeType

A pixel grotesque that replaces the conventional square pixel with a circle, producing a warm, embroidery-like rhythm suited to festival, branding and packaging work at large sizes.

About

Developed within TypeType's Creative Lab, TT Dott mixes upright and slanted glyphs to introduce a sense of movement and irregularity that pushes it away from the cold, mechanical associations of most pixel fonts. Two styles, Solid and Outline, can be used independently or layered, and a Static stylistic set offers calmer, upright alternatives to the default dynamic characters. Each style carries 605 glyphs, coverage for over 120 languages, and a set of thematic icons.

Classification

A display typeface built on circular pixels rather than square ones, creating a fluid, organic rhythm distinctly at odds with conventional pixel typography. Its experimental, decorative character places it firmly in the display category.
