TT Moons
TypeType · Nadyr Rakhimov, Anna Kondrashova, Ravid Balaliev, Elizabeth Ostrovskaya · 2016

A narrow, high-contrast modern serif from TypeType, originally released in 2016 and updated in 2025 with variable font support and extended language coverage.
About
Five weights from Thin to Black, each with a matching italic, sit within narrow proportions that suit magazine columns, book text and newspaper layouts. The high stroke contrast places it firmly in the Didone lineage, though contemporary detailing keeps it from feeling historicist. The 2025 update adds two variable fonts along the weight axis, expands the glyph set to 500 characters per style, and adds support for 165 languages including Cyrillic.
Classification
TT Moons belongs to the Didone or glyptal modern tradition, characterised by its high stroke contrast, narrow proportions, and hairline serifs typical of that genre.
