TT Neoris Pro specimen from TypeType

A neo-grotesque from TypeType developed over two and a half years, spanning 21 styles with extensive OpenType features and broad script coverage including Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic and Vietnamese.

About

Built around research into what an archetypal contemporary grotesque should look like, the family runs from Hairline to Black with matching italics and a variable font package. Italic styles are drawn slightly narrower than the uprights, with an optional stylistic set of true italic Cyrillic forms honouring calligraphic tradition. Version 2.000 adds Greek, Vietnamese and an Arabic variant combining Kufi and Naskh influences with minimalist, humanist-touched terminals.

Classification

Explicitly described as a neo-grotesque throughout the page, with neutral character, archetypal letterforms and upright-to-italic ratio typical of the genre. Extensive stylistic sets and Cyrillic calligraphic italic forms add depth without departing from the category.
