Gretel Script specimen from Typejockeys

A calligraphic script in three optical sizes, based on the handwriting of calligrapher Natascha Safarik and redrawn manually for clean vectors at any size.

About

The family spans three styles — Piccolo, the standard cut, and Grande — each tuned to a different size range so letterforms remain balanced whether set small or large. OpenType features include alternates, initial and final forms, intentional breaks and perfect connections, giving composers fine control over the flow of joined lettering. Its quirky, expressive character has been applied to wedding stationery, public campaigns and food packaging.

Classification

Based on the handwriting of calligrapher Natascha Safarik and redrawn into vectors; the three optical sizes and OpenType alternates place it firmly in the calligraphic script category with a quirky, informal character.
