About
Rather than digitising any single surviving version, Michael Hochleitner studied the full range of Viennese street sign typefaces that emerged from successive redrawings by enamel manufacturers, then distilled them into one family of 31 styles. The family spans Normal, Condensed and Compressed widths, each available in multiple weights with fully original italics designed to accompany the roman. OpenType features include ligatures, swash caps, stylistic alternates and figure styles, giving it considerable range beyond its signage origins.
