Part of TypeMates' Grato suite alongside Grato Classic and Grato Grotesk, this four-weight family mimics the rhythm of real marker lettering: strokes tilt, the baseline gently bounces and letter sizing plays slightly loose. Three stylistic sets allow fine-tuning of the lowercase l, a single-storey a with unhooked j and t, and a two-storey g. The family is built for children's books, expressive packaging and casual brand work where a sober sans would feel too stiff.
Classification
A handwritten geometric sans that draws from marker lettering traditions while retaining the underlying geometry of the Grato suite; its informal stroke variation and bouncy baseline place it firmly in the expressive/handmade end of geometric sans.
