Designed by Andreu Balius and Ricard Garcia in 2018, the family offers three distinct variants: Solid, Bevel and Diamond, each lending a different decorative register to the same condensed serif skeleton. The forms carry echoes of both Gothic ecclesiastical architecture and Art Deco titling, making the family suited to editorial headlines, packaging and cultural projects. Extensive Latin language support spans hundreds of languages with localised forms for Catalan and Dutch.
Classification
Poblet is a display type family inspired by the classic Elzevier Condensed, a historical condensed serif form. Its three decorative styles (Solid, Bevel, Diamond) place it firmly in the display category with a strong historical serif lineage.
