Black No.7
Typocalypse · Stefan Hübsch · 2009

A display typeface drawn from the 1866 Jack Daniel's whiskey logo, offered in a clean Black Label version and a distressed Vintage cut.
About
Designed by Stefan Hübsch in 2009, Black No.7 takes its cue from the famous Tennessee whiskey logo of 1866. The family ships in two variants: a clean Black Label and a distressed Vintage version, with over 400 glyphs covering ligatures, alternates and special characters. It suits packaging, branding and editorial work where a heritage Americana aesthetic is called for.
Classification
Inspired by a 19th-century Tennessee whiskey logo, this is an ornate display typeface with a distressed vintage variant, placing it firmly in the decorative/display category with a Western or Americana flavour.
