Tremolo Gradient specimen from Typotheque

A layered gradient display system from Typotheque, built from paired top and bottom layers that combine to produce smooth chromatic transitions across letterforms.

About

Part of the broader Tremolo type system, the Gradient subfamily provides six layers in three pairs (A, B and C), each split into a Top and Bottom component. Overlaying the paired layers produces gradient colour effects across the glyphs, suited to poster, exhibition and social media work. The system sits alongside Tremolo Display, Text, Stencil and Sans families, allowing designers to mix gradient and solid treatments within a single typographic family.

Classification

Tremolo Gradient is a layered display type system with top and bottom gradient layers designed to be stacked for chromatic gradient effects, placing it firmly in the display category with a specialised layering subcategory.
