Zed Round Wide specimen from Typotheque

The wide cut of Typotheque's rounded geometric display subfamily, part of an enormous modular system spanning nine widths, three subfamilies and up to twelve weights each.

About

Zed Round Wide sits at the broader end of the Zed Round subfamily, itself one arm of the Zed system which also includes Display, Text and Icons variants. Each style in the Round subfamily features softened, rounded terminals that distinguish it from the sharper Display cuts, while the Wide proportion pushes letterforms into open, spacious territory suited to headlines and branding at large sizes. Individual styles are named after world cities, running from Hairline through to Black, each available in upright, slanted and backslanted versions.

Classification

Zed Round Wide is part of a large geometric display system with rounded terminals, positioned at the wide end of a nine-width axis; its soft, circular stroke endings and geometric structure place it firmly in geometric display sans territory.
