About
Berling was designed by Karl-Erik Forsberg and first issued by Sweden's Berlingska Stilgjuteriet in 1951, with additional weights added in 1958. Modelled on the Venetian type of Aldus Manutius, it brings a warm, slightly calligraphic character to text setting. URW Type Foundry publishes the four-style family — Regular, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic — as a digital edition of this mid-century Swedish classic.
