Designed by Philipp Neumeyer and released between 2018 and 2022, Rainer runs across six weights from Hairline to Bold, each with an upright and slanted style. Its compressed form, closed apertures and short descenders lend themselves to tight headline work and large typesetting, while occasional quirks such as the high waist on certain letters give the family a quietly distinctive voice. Extended language support covers Latin, Cyrillic and Greek, with a generous set of OpenType features including Bulgarian and Serbian alternates.
