Wildberry
Vectro · Travis Kochel · 2018

A variable display typeface drawn from the hand-lettered signage of U.S. National Wilderness areas, refined for consistency without losing its brushy character.
About
Rooted in the brushy lettering of American wilderness signage, Wildberry captures the energy and playfulness of its source while smoothing out the inconsistencies typical of hand-drawn originals. Joins have been opened slightly to even out colour distribution, and a more consistent, subtly reversed contrast system gives the face a coherent typographic logic. A variable weight axis runs from 100 to 900, allowing fine control across five named stops from Light to Heavy.
Classification
Derived from brushy hand-lettered signage found on U.S. National Wilderness areas, Wildberry is a display typeface with the informal energy of brush lettering, slightly reversed contrast, and a playful, organic character.
