Nord
VJ Type · Jérémy Schneider · 2015

A bold display typeface with irregular letter widths and rounded angles, originally drawn for the 2015–2016 identity of the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris.
About
Designed by Jérémy Schneider as part of a theatre identity commission, Nord pairs a confident weight with softened corners and deliberately varied letter widths that give it an unsystematic, expressive rhythm. It was conceived alongside a companion typeface, Sud, with both intended to coexist within the same graphic identity at different weights. Available in a single Regular weight with broad Latin Extended language support across OTF, WOFF and WOFF2 formats.
Classification
A bold, single-weight display typeface with irregular letter widths and rounded angles, designed expressly for a theatre identity rather than text use, placing it firmly in the display category.
