Pilote
VJ Type · Jérémy Schneider · 2025

A high-contrast display serif in ten styles, with expressive swash italics and a generous glyph set aimed squarely at fashion editorial.
About
Designed by Jérémy Schneider and released in 2025, the family runs from Light to Black with matching italics, each roman carrying alternates and ligatures while the italics add a full set of swash characters. Angular pointed terminals meet smooth diagonal transitions, giving the design a sharp but comfortable rhythm across large settings. The glyph set extends to 77 symbols and 18 stylised arrows, with broad Latin language coverage across more than 40 languages.
Classification
A high-contrast extended serif designed explicitly for display use, with angular pointed terminals, expressive swash italics and a fashion-editorial sensibility that places it firmly outside text serif territory.
