ARP
W Type Foundry · Felipe Sanzana

A neo-grotesque type system by Felipe Sanzana spanning five weights, with an inverted-contrast light, a sharp mid-weight, and a high-contrast heavy, plus a Display subfamily with geometric and glyphic alternates.
About
The family runs across ten styles in two subfamilies — ARP and ARP Display — with each offering five weights numbered 20 through 240. Short ascenders and descenders improve legibility at smaller sizes, ink traps extend usability into display contexts, and an extensive set of icons, arrows and symbols supports consistent layouts across digital and print. All 640 characters per style include variable font versions of both subfamilies.
Classification
Described explicitly as a neo-grotesk type system; combines functional grotesque structure with contrasted weights and glyphic display alternates, including an inverted-contrast light cut.
