Becky specimen from W Type Foundry

A geometric display family of 10 styles by Bana Arasanz, aimed at advertising, branding and retail work targeting a young creative audience.

About

Inspired by Futura and similar geometric classics, Becky introduces an informal, slightly edgy quality through subtly curved verticals. Five weights run from Light to Extrabold, each with a matching italic, giving 10 styles in total across 445 characters. Two stylistic sets extend its range: SS1 straightens curved diagonals for a more formal appearance at smaller sizes, while SS2 offers alternate glyphs for a handful of characters.

Classification

Becky is explicitly described as a display type inspired by geometric classics such as Futura, with informal and edgy details. Its primary use cases are headlines, branding and advertising, placing it firmly in the display category with a geometric sans influence.
