Started in 2021, the Collabtype project runs workshops in universities and events worldwide, inviting non-specialists to design individual letterforms using both digital and analogue methods. Each session produces a distinct typeface edition, digitalised by the W Type Foundry team, with nine versions released to date covering New York, Barcelona, Santiago, Lisbon and beyond. All editions are available for free download under a personal use licence.
Classification
