Rokha specimen from W Type Foundry

A wedge-serif display face with sharply exaggerated serifs drawn from Copperplate Gothic, designed to read like carved stone across five weights.

About

Designed by Patricio Truenos Gaspar Muñoz, Rokha takes Goudy's Copperplate Gothic as its starting point and pushes the wedge serifs into something more aggressive and sculptural. Ten styles span five weights from Light to Dark, each paired with an oblique, and the inclusion of both upper and lowercase broadens its range beyond strictly titling use. Best deployed in headlines, posters and large-scale branding where its pointed serifs and commanding weight can do their work.

Classification

Explicitly described as a wedge-serif, with sharp, exaggerated serifs inspired by Goudy's Copperplate Gothic, giving it a lapidary, carved-stone character suited to display use.
