Rosso takes Roslyn Gothic as its structural reference, the condensed geometric letterform associated with 1970s science-fiction paperback covers, and extends it into a 10-weight family with matching italics. The Alt subfamily widens the round counters to produce a tighter, more contrasted rhythm typical of Art Deco display work. Alternative glyphs and discretionary ligatures, informed by Herb Lubalin's approach, broaden its range for logo-building, posters and cinematic titling. Both subfamilies are available as variable fonts.
