About
Built on the tradition of late 19th-century compressed grotesques, Velo applies intentionally minimal optical correction at stroke intersections to produce a mechanical, modular texture. Circular 'O' forms exaggerate the compressed proportions, and a set of hairline symbols provides textural contrast across the ten-weight range. OpenType alternates include compressed rounds, open apertures and duck caps, making it a considered tool for editorial, poster and display work where high impact at narrow measure is the brief.
