About
Developed by Francesco Canovaro and Andrea Tartarelli as a slab companion to Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini's Amazing Grotesk, the design draws its heavier weights from lettering Canovaro originally drew for the StartupItalia logo. The inline variants, drawn by Mario De Libero, extend the family's reach into bold signage, logo work and editorial titling. All 20 styles include true italics, over 900 glyphs, and coverage of 211 languages across Latin, Greek and Cyrillic scripts, with a variable font available in the full package.
Classification
An egyptian-style slab serif with low contrast and the curved endings and open apertures of humanist sans-serifs, making it a humanist slab rather than a mechanical or geometric egyptian.
