Aquawax Pro
Zetafonts · Francesco Canovaro · 2015

Originally created as a custom brand typeface in 2008, this geometric sans-serif carries distinctive logo-design details — a blade-tailed Q, fin-legged K and reversed W — across nine weights with matching italics.
About
Designed by Francesco Canovaro and first released commercially in 2015, the family gained wide recognition after Warner Bros used it for the Aquaman logo. A 2019 redesign by the Zetafonts team expanded the original six weights to nine, added full italic variants, introduced Cyrillic and Greek coverage across 218 languages, and incorporated OpenType features including small caps, old-style figures and multiple stylistic sets. The open letterforms and generous x-height keep it readable at text sizes despite its origins in display and identity work.
Classification
Aquawax Pro is a geometric sans-serif with open, modernist letterforms and a generous x-height; its rounded edges and distinctive logo-derived details such as the blade-tailed Q and reversed W sit firmly within the geometric sans tradition.
