Arsenica Sans
Zetafonts · Francesco Canovaro · 2026

A geometric sans with Art Nouveau and Old Style calligraphic ancestry, extending the Arsenica superfamily into a 21-style display and text system.
About
Francesco Canovaro's extension of the Arsenica serif superfamily into sans-serif territory retains the calligraphic trace of the original rather than stripping it away, with Art Nouveau and Old Style influences surfacing most clearly in the italics. The family spans Thin to Extrabold across two subfamilies: Arsenica Sans for editorial and display use with full italic complement, and Arsenica Sans Text with reduced stylistic detail for body setting. Nine stylistic sets, oldstyle figures, contextual alternates and a variable font make it a flexible system for identity work as much as editorial typesetting.
Classification
A geometric sans-serif that retains Old Style and Art Nouveau calligraphic influences from its parent serif family, giving it a warmer, more characterful construction than a neutral geometric.
