Arturo
Zetafonts · Francesco Canovaro · 2018

A seven-weight sans-serif family rooted in brush lettering research, with a Heavy Outline style for layered colour font use.
About
Designed by Francesco Canovaro as part of an investigation into digitally reinventing handmade brush lettering, Arturo balances a lively, playful character with the practicality of a full text family. Seven weights run from Thin to Heavy with matching italics, plus a Heavy Outline variant suited to multilayer colour font work. An extensive OpenType feature set covers small caps, stylistic alternates, unicase, multiple numeral styles and fractions, making it adaptable for both body text and logo design.
Classification
Arturo draws its forms from brush lettering traditions, giving it the warmth and organic quality associated with humanist sans-serifs, despite its digital construction and versatile text-family structure.
