A 72-style geometric sans by Francesco Canovaro that borrows high-contrast details from wood-type and letterpress traditions across three widths and a backslant axis.
About
Designed by Francesco Canovaro with contributions from Mario De Libero and Andrea Tartarelli, the family spans Fit, Regular and Wide widths at eight weights from Thin to Fat, each with roman, italic and backslant cuts. The 968-glyph set covers over 200 languages across Latin, Greek and Cyrillic, and all three variation axes are accessible via an included variable font. The combination of a rational geometric skeleton with calligraphy-influenced stroke contrast gives it a range unusual for a display sans.
Classification
Built on a geometric sans skeleton with high-contrast details drawn from wood-type and letterpress vernacular traditions, giving it an unusual tension between rational structure and expressive weight contrast.
