Zetafonts · Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini, Andrea Tartarelli, Giulia Ursenna Dorati, Andrea Gaspari · 2016

A condensed vintage brush script drawn from a mid-century calligraphic sample by Ross Frederic George, expanded into five weights with OpenType swashes and ligatures.
About
Inspired by a handmade lettering sample in the 1947 Speedball Textbook Manual, the design was reworked and extended by the Zetafonts Masterclass 2016 team to add lighter weights and a monoline cut. OpenType features include arching text, ending swashes and a wide set of ligatures that can be triggered by typing underscore sequences, lending a natural, hand-drawn quality. The 728-glyph set covers 187 Latin-based languages and suits food packaging, period advertising and logo work.
Classification
A condensed brush script with a pronounced vertical slant, rooted in a mid-century calligraphic hand. The monoline variant and multiple weights extend the family but the core character is vernacular brush lettering.
