Blacker Sans Pro specimen from Zetafonts

A 60-style grotesque sans designed as a companion to Blacker Pro, split across three subfamilies with varying stroke contrast from monolinear to high-contrast display.

About

Built as a serif-less counterpart to the Blacker family, this family retains the dark, elegant character of its predecessor whilst replacing wedge serifs with a monolinear grotesque structure. Three subfamilies — Classic, Text and Display — apply different degrees of contrast to the same skeleton, from readability-optimised Text to the high-contrast curves of Display. The full family spans 60 static styles plus six variable fonts, with over 1,600 characters per style covering 220-plus languages across Latin, Cyrillic and Greek.

Classification

Described by the foundry as monolinear and grotesque-inspired, with varying contrast levels across three subfamilies; the Display subfamily introduces high-contrast stroke variation atypical of pure grotesques but the overall skeleton and approach remains within that tradition.
