Bogart Arabic specimen from Zetafonts

An Arabic companion to the Bogart family, drawing on Maghribi calligraphy's rounded forms and ball terminals to carry the original's chunky, playful character into Arabic script.

About

Designed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini after Francesco Canovaro's original Bogart, the Arabic extension follows the Maghribi calligraphic tradition, a Moroccan style noted for its unusual rounded shapes and ball terminals. Calligrapher Aziz Bouyabrine helped adapt the traditional model for digital use, balancing playfulness with legibility across nine weights from Thin to Black. A variable font is included with the full family, and coverage spans 217 languages across Latin and Arabic scripts.

Classification

A rounded old-style display design adapted for Arabic script using Maghribi calligraphic conventions, with distinctive ball terminals and chunky, pop-inflected letterforms that sit comfortably in the display category.
