Developed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini with Francesco Canovaro and Andrea Tartarelli, Coco Sharp strips the rounded corners from its predecessors Coco Gothic and Cocogoose to produce a version equally suited to display headlines and running text. Five sub-families graded from XS to XL give designers direct control over x-height and readability across different point sizes, and variable font versions cover both weight and optical-size axes simultaneously. Over 2,000 glyphs support Latin, Greek and Cyrillic across more than 200 languages, with small capitals, positional figures and alternate letterforms via OpenType.
Classification
Built on a geometric sans skeleton in the tradition of Futura, but with humanist proportions applied to key letterforms. Sharp terminals distinguish it from the rounded Coco Gothic and Cocogoose predecessors.
