Cocomat Pro
Zetafonts · Francesco Canovaro, Debora Manetti, Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini · 2014

A geometric sans-serif with art deco-inflected uppercase letterforms and humanistic proportions, part of Zetafonts' wider Coco Gothic system.
About
Designed by Francesco Canovaro and Debora Manetti, Cocomat draws on the geometric skeleton shared across the Coco Gothic family but introduces vertical unbalancing in uppercase letters such as E, A, F, P and R that recalls 1920s and 1930s lettering. Lowercase stems carry optical compensation, softening the overall rhythm. The Pro revision of 2019 expanded the family to 18 styles across nine weights with matching italics, added OpenType features including small caps, oldstyle figures and stylistic alternates, and extended coverage to over 218 languages across Latin, Greek and Cyrillic scripts.
Classification
A geometric sans with humanistic proportions, low contrast and slightly rounded corners. Art deco-influenced uppercase letterforms with vertical unbalancing place it firmly in the geometric sans category with decorative leanings.
