About
Originally cast in lead by Italian foundry Nebiolo and inspired by Schelter & Giesecke's Grotesk, the revival extends the source material into 42 styles spanning Compressed, Condensed and Roman widths. Lighter normal-width weights draw on the modernist character of Recta, while the heavy compressed and condensed cuts reference Aldo Novarese's Metropol, lending the family a warmth absent from Helvetica-era grotesques. The Etrusco Classic subfamily preserves the original historical weights alongside the expanded contemporary range.
Classification
