Developed from Canovaro's earlier Beatrix Family, Florentia translates the inscriptional spirit of Santa Croce Cathedral into a contemporary sans with a lower x-height and refined proportions. Nine weights from Thin to Fat each carry a matching italic, giving the family 18 styles in total. The character set spans 561 glyphs across Latin, Greek and Cyrillic, with OpenType features including ligatures, stylistic alternates, fractions, ordinals and scientific inferiors.
