Heading Deva
Zetafonts · Shrishti Vajpai, Francesco Canovaro, Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini, Andrea Tartarelli · 2023

A Devanagari extension of the Heading superfamily, bringing its industrial grotesque structure across eight weights and eight widths to Hindi and other Devanagari-script languages.
About
Designed by Shrishti Vajpai as an expansion of the Heading superfamily originally created by Francesco Canovaro, Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini and Andrea Tartarelli, Heading Deva applies the same industrial grotesque skeleton to Devanagari. The family spans 64 static styles across eight weights from Thin to Heavy and eight widths from Ultracompressed to Wide, plus a variable font covering both axes. Script coverage extends to Latin, Cyrillic and Greek alongside Devanagari, supporting over 220 languages.
Classification
An industrial grotesque extended to Devanagari script, sharing the same skeletal structure and weight-width system as the Latin Heading superfamily. Classified as grotesque due to its bold, industrial character and absence of calligraphic influence.
