Designed by Francesco Canovaro with Andrea Tartarelli and Maria Chiara Fantini, Kitsch draws on the broad-nib pen to bridge classical roman skeletons and medieval gothic scripts without directly quoting historical models such as Rotunda or Bastarda. The result is a spiky, high-contrast face that works at poster scale in its display cut, while the separately tuned text version preserves that expressivity down to smaller sizes. All 32 styles cover Latin, Greek and Cyrillic across 218 languages, and OpenType features include small caps, positional numerals, stylistic alternates and discretionary ligatures.
