Kitten
Zetafonts · Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini · 2016

A multi-weight signpainter script by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini, with swash variants, OpenType ligatures and a companion set of cat dingbats.
About
Spanning six weights from Monoline to Fat, Kitten draws on the hand-lettered aesthetic of sign painting, with curvier forms in the heavier weights suited to logos and display use, and cleaner lighter cuts that work for shorter text blocks. Three style variants — Regular, Slant and Swash — extend the family to 16 styles in total, while OpenType features provide uppercase and lowercase ligatures, alternates and swash characters. Cat silhouette dingbats, designed by Isabella Ahmadzadeh, are accessed via the Dingcats subfamily. The family was recognised with a PRINT Award for typeface design in 2016.
Classification
Kitten is a multi-weight connected script with a hand-lettered, signpainter aesthetic, spanning upright and slanted variants with swash alternates and OpenType features typical of display scripts.
