Monitor
Zetafonts · Francesco Canovaro, Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini, Mario De Libero · 2025

A 60-style industrial grotesque superfamily spanning five widths, drawing from Eurostile's modular logic but replacing its rounded joints with sharper, more angular geometry.
About
Designed by Francesco Canovaro, Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini and Mario De Libero, Monitor takes the utilitarian structure of Eurostile and Microgramma as its starting point, then strips out their vintage curves in favour of hyper-geometric stroke junctions and accentuated ink traps. The result has a crisper, more assertive character suited to digital interfaces, editorial systems and sports branding. A variable font covering weight, width and italic axes is included in the full family package, alongside OpenType features such as elongated uppercase alternates triggered by triple-repeated capitals.
Classification
Monitor is an industrial grotesque with a highly geometric construction, low contrast, and angular stroke joins that deliberately depart from Novarese's hyper-elliptical Eurostile in favour of a sharper, more rational structure.
