Salad specimen from Zetafonts

A condensed display sans inspired by hand-painted ballroom lettering found in Fuerteventura, spanning five weights with roman, italic, interlocking and inline variants.

About

Francesco Canovaro reworked Debora Manetti's earlier typeface Sala de Fiestas into a fuller family, preserving the original's condensed proportions and vernacular Latino character while extending it with a five-weight range, Cyrillic support for 213 languages, and a broad set of OpenType features including small caps, stylistic alternates and old-style figures. The Interlock subfamily adds interlocking letterform variants for tighter display settings, and the Inline weight extends the decorative possibilities further. Hand-drawn dingbats complement the signpainting feel throughout.

Classification

A condensed display sans rooted in hand-painted signage aesthetics, with decorative interlocking and inline variants that place it firmly in the display category rather than workhorse text typography.
